TOPIC 4: Proposition: Hollywood produce great movies, but they don't always tell the truth even it is based on 'True Stories'. Provide at least two (2) premises or counter arguments for the proposition. Write in paragraph (s).
Firstly, they don't always tell the truth on the movies even though it based the true story is because the popcorn munchers want it be like that. Howell (2014) has stated in The Star that "Based on a true story movies like Perfect Sisters, a weirdly sympathetic account of Mississauga's Bathtub Girls matricide case, inevitably choose to bend the truth rather that fully reveal it, because that's what popcorn munchers want".
Secondly, Sargent (2014) has claimed that "Based on a true story is generally a pretty dubious claim for a movie to make. Hollywood is notorious for taking things that actually happened and throwing in enough flashy stupidity to keep the lowest common denominator distracted from how overpriced movie tickets are".
